The New Orleans Saints have some big decisions to make this offseason. With Tyler Shough looking like the answer at quarterback, building a strong roster around him is key.

Thanks to the NFL’s cap space eclipsing $300 million, the Saints have some room to work. But, they are still facing some tricky questions this offseason on four veterans.

As Larry Holder of The Athletic points out, the Saints have four big decisions, worth a total of around $65 million, to make with Alvin Kamara, Cameron Jordan, Taysom Hill, and Demario Davis.

Saints have four major decisions worth $65M to make this offseason

“How will the Saints handle the contracts of some of their veteran stalwarts?” Holder writes. “… Jordan, Davis, and Hill have voided contracts upcoming, and cutting Kamara would be essentially no cap savings. So, will the Saints extend contracts on these players to lower cap figures?”

The decision to keep these veterans for the 2026 season isn’t a simple one, as the team would be pushing more dead cap space into the future, further limiting how the Saints can use their cap space.

For the 2026 season, Jordan has a cap figure of $18,760,000, Kamara is $18,571,471, Davis is worth $14,290,000, and Hill is worth $13,723,000.

In total, the Saints have around $65 million allocated to Kamara, Hill, Jordan, and Davis for the 2026 season. With all but Kamara set to hit the open market, the Saints will have some tricky decisions to make with their veterans.

Davis seems the most likely to leave in free agency, while Hill might end up retiring. Jordan could end up coming back; otherwise, he’d likely retire.

Kamara also doesn’t seem inclined to want to leave New Orleans, so if the Saints end up cutting him, even though it doesn’t save any money, Kamara will still be worth plenty on the Saints’ books.

What the Saints do with these four players will be a huge storyline to begin the offseason for the Saints. With a young quarterback in the fold, building around him is key, and saving money could be a big help.

Jordan, Davis, Kamara, and Hill are worth over $65 million together, but that might not be what their final contract totals come out to this season. Those figures could change with an extension or contract restructuring.
