Los Angeles Chargers star Bradley Bozeman, 31, has announced his retirement after eight years in the NFL.

He spent five years playing college football with Alabama as he helped the Crimson Tide to win the College Football Playoff during the 2015 season.

Center Bozeman was then named as team captain ahead of the 2017 season when he won a second national championship with Alabama.

He was picked by the Baltimore Ravens during the sixth round of the 2018 NFL Draft.

Bozeman played in 14 games during his rookie season before taking over as the team’s starting left guard in 2019.

The star then returned to play center in 2021 before joining the Carolina Panthers, where he spent two years.

This was followed by a switch to the Chargers, where Bozeman spent the final two years of his NFL career.

Bozeman has announced his retirement on social media.

“After 8 seasons in the NFL, I’m ready for my next chapter,” Bozeman said on Instagram. “This game has given me so much — lessons, lifelong friendships, and memories my family will carry forever.

“Thank you to every teammate, coach, and fan I was blessed to cross paths with along the way. Thank you to my amazing family who supported me every step of this journey. I couldn’t have done any of this without you!”

Bozeman’s news comes after former Chargers star Nasir Adderley, 28, reversed his retirement decision after three years away from the sport.

Bozeman started 16 games for the Chargers during the 2025 season.

But their offensive line struggled as they failed to advance from their Wild Card playoff against the New England Patriots.

Bozeman has signed off with a poignant note on his impressive career in the NFL.

“Someone once told me, ‘Every career — no matter how decorated — ends in a trash bag,’” Bozeman continued. “The game moves on. Someone fills your spot.”

Fans have shared their appreciation for the now-retired center.

“What a guy, what a career, what a post career you are going to have!” one fan commented.

“Congrats on a great career BB !!! Done been through it all,” another shared.
