The San Francisco 49ers could be looking to make a major addition to their offense this offseason.

According to reports from NFL insider Jason La Canfora, two-time All-Pro wide receiver and upcoming free agent Mike Evans could be a target for the 49ers this offseason. Evans, who was drafted in the first round of the 2014 NFL Draft by the Buccaneers and has spent his entire career in Tampa Bay, is reportedly considering other options as he is set to become a free agent.

The Bucs are interested in retaining Evans, but he is reportedly weighing quarterback quality and the ability to win a Super Bowl when considering other franchises, and the 49ers were listed among a handful that could show significant interest in him.

San Francisco traded Deebo Samuel last offseason and will part ways with Brandon Aiyuk this offseason, and needs to shore up its receiver room. Evans, who recorded 11 consecutive 1,000-yard seasons to begin his career before missing most of last season due to injuries, will be an enticing option as a replacement.
