At the NFL Scouting Combine, Bills’ leaders Brandon Beane and Joe Brady are focusing on character in their talent search while building a resilient team for 2026.

INDIANAPOLIS — Buffalo Bills President and General Manager Brandon Beane and new head coach Joe Brady spoke to the media from the NFL Scouting Combine in Indianapolis today, as they begin scouting the talent for the upcoming NFL Draft.

Beane emphasized the importance of getting to know multiple prospects, and focusing on character and maturity as much as talent. He also discussed working closely with new coaches, navigating the salary cap, and bolstering the 2026 roster through free agency and the draft.

“We’re excited about what this 2026 Bills team will be, and it’s up to us to put the right product out there, you know, to make them excited and see the vision going forward.” said Beane.

Brady highlighted that he’s building an experienced coaching staff he can rely on, and stressed the importance of relationships, communication, and understanding players’ personalities. He also emphasized maintaining high expectations, leveraging past experiences, and using his prior role in Buffalo to help the team continue to succeed.

“Look, this is year one, it’s not year 10, right? And I think that that’s there’s been a foundation that’s been set here and it might be a little different in the sense of, we understand the expectations and everything that comes with it, right?” said Brady. “It’s important that everybody in the organization knows it because if we continue to speak about how things used to be, then we’ll never continue to go forward and so, I have so much respect for the past, but, it’s year one in organization right now.”
