Tennessee Football has seven former players listed as participants for the NFL Combine this week in Indianapolis. The Vols’ seven players are looking to impress on and off the field with the hopes of etching their names into the list of Josh Heupel’s drafted players on Rocky Top. So far, Tennessee has had 17 players taken in the NFL Draft in Heupel’s five seasons at Tennessee.

Tennessee’s NFL Combine participants include:

QB Joey Aguilar
CB Jermod McCoy
CB Colton Hood
WR Chris Brazzell
EDGE Joshua Josephs
DL Bryson Eason
TE Miles Kitselman

Team interviews, orientations, pre-exams, and medical interviews have already begun this week in Indianapolis. The events are staggered throughout the week to prevent player logjams, with the kickers, defensive linemen, and linebackers getting the earliest jump on things.

The official on-field workouts will begin this Thursday. The defensive linemen, linebackers, and specialists will all take the field on Thursday, followed by the defensive backs and tight ends on Friday. The quarterbacks, wide receivers, and running backs will perform on Saturday, while the offensive linemen cap off the week during workouts on Sunday.

All workouts will be broadcast live on NFL Network and NFL+ throughout the week.

The combine will present some much-needed answers for some of Tennessee’s players. For instance, what’s the health status and workout availability for Jermod McCoy? The superstar cornerback has been projected as one of the top two cornerbacks in the class and a first-round pick, but he hasn’t played since the 2024 season. His status updates will go a long way in helping determine just how high he can go in the first round.

On a similar note, what about Tennessee cornerback Colton Hood? The breakout Volunteer has seen his stock rise since the Senior Bowl last month, and another good showing at the NFL Combine could keep his trajectory moving up. Hood is in the mix for the third cornerback off the board and will be fighting for a first-round landing spot throughout the week.

The combine will also give opportunities for other former Vols such as Joey Aguilar, Chris Brazzell, Joshua Josephs, Bryson Eason, and Miles Kitselman to show up and show out in front of the scouts and coaches.

Bryson Eason and Joshua Josephs will kick off UT players’ on-field workouts on Thursday, followed by Colton Hood, Jermod McCoy, and Miles Kitselman on Friday. Tennessee’s Joey Aguilar and Chris Brazzell will compete on Saturday. It’s unclear just how much Joey Aguilar’s post-season surgery will impact his throwing capabilities at Lucas Oil Stadium.
