The 2025 season for Keon Coleman was remembered more for what happened off the field than on the field, but the Buffalo Bills wide receiver will be given the chance to turn things around this offseason.
Bills general manager Brandon Beane said Tuesday that Coleman will “have every chance” this offseason.
“That is kind of the challenge to Keon — can you go back and do what you did all [last] offseason in your training camp. … Don’t let some of the maturity issues off the field affect the product on the field,” Beane told reporters at the NFL combine. “If he does that, he’ll have every chance.
“… And I know we’ve got some new coaches, and they’re excited to meet him and get to work with him and were aware of him in the draft process a couple of years ago, and so they kind want to try to start mold him in the way they see and envision him for our team.”
Coleman was benched several times throughout the season for things like missing meetings. He played 13 games, recording 404 yards and four touchdowns.
The offseason got off to a bit of a tough start for Coleman. In January, owner Terry Pegula said the now-fired coaching staff decided to draft Coleman rather than Beane, essentially indicating to Coleman that the current front office wasn’t a fan of him.
Coleman has had a forgettable first two seasons in the NFL, but he’ll look to turn things around this year and prove he was worth drafting in 2024.
