The Denver Broncos are approaching NFL free agency with enough salary cap flexibility to make some splash additions, and a few in-house deals are also expected. Fans in Broncos Country should also remember that general manager George Paton and coach Sean Payton have re-signed nearly a dozen key players over the last two years.
Dating back to 2024, Denver has given multi-year extensions to a wide receiver, three offensive linemen, two pass rushers, three defensive linemen and a kicker. Those 11 players, combined with recent key draft picks like quarterback Bo Nix, help make up the core of the franchise.

So while Denver could still use a few difference-makers, the roster’s foundation has been set with 55 players under contract. The Broncos will add new pieces this spring, but the core of the roster is already secured.
