Raiders and Titans free agency rumors are troubling news for Giants, Colts originally appeared on The Sporting News. Add The Sporting News as a Preferred Source by clicking here.
The Tennessee Titans and Las Vegas Raiders enter the offseason ranked No. 1 and No. 2 in cap space, respectively, and have a ton of needs to address.

That means we could see both teams throwing money around like it’s going out of style and that presents a problem in free agency for teams with less cap space who are interested in the same players.
One need the Raiders and Titans have in common comes at wide receiver, and Tony Pauline of Essentially Sports reports both teams are expected to be “major suitors” for Indianapolis Colts wide receiver Alec Pierce.
“I’m told that two receiver-needy teams, the Las Vegas Raiders and the Tennessee Titans, will be major suitors for Pierce,” Pauline reported.
Pauline goes on to add that if the Titans fall short on Pierce, their next top target will be New York Giants wideout Wan’Dale Robinson, who has a connection with Titans offensive coordinator Brian Daboll, the former Giants head coach.

“If the Titans can’t sign Pierce, their next target is Wan’Dale Robinson. Tennessee had interest in Robinson even before hiring Brian Daboll as its offensive coordinator,” he said. “Daboll drafted Robinson out of Kentucky in 2022 when he was the head coach of the New York Giants. Tennessee’s interest in Robinson has risen even further since the hiring of Daboll.”
This is obviously troubling news for the Giants and Colts, barring them using the franchise tag on their pending free-agent wideouts to keep them off the market, which we don’t see happening.
New York likely has interest in keeping Robinson given their lackluster wide receiver situation without him.
However, having to compete with a team like the Titans that has a ton of money (and much more than the Giants) to spend will make it much more difficult.

Something similar can be said for the Colts.
Granted, Indianapolis has more cap space than New York, but the Colts still fall well short of the Raiders and Titans and having to compete against both teams might force the Colts to overpay or else they could very well lose Pierce.
