In 2025, San Francisco 49ers defensive linemen Jordan Elliott and Kevin Givens combined to play 53.4% (579) of the team’s defensive snaps, but now they’re both set to hit the free agent market at the start of the new league year.

With that knowledge, San Francisco needs to find their replacements, and while they may look in free agency, the upcoming NFL draft may be a better bet.

In fact, it looks like the 49ers are already looking at some intriguing defensive line prospects in 2026, as Ole Miss‘ Zxavian Harris revealed to the media on Wednesday that he had already met with the team.

Harris, 22, was a four-star recruit out of Germantown High School in Gluckstadt, Mississippi, before committing to Ole Miss for the 2022 season. Over the last four years, he appeared in 52 games and recorded 123 tackles, 5.5 sacks, three passes defensed, one forced fumble and one interception.

San Francisco used two draft picks in 2025 on interior defensive linemen (Alfred Collins in the second and C.J. West in the fourth). However, the 49ers could use a Day-3 pick on the 6-foot-8, 330-pound project to build a strong group on the interior of Raheem Morris’ unit.
