Another layer of David Tepper’s infamous drink toss has been uncovered.

Carolina Panthers president of football operations and general manager Dan Morgan joined Thursday’s episode of The Pac McAfee Show from the 2026 NFL Scouting Combine in Indianapolis. When host Pat McAfee brought up Tepper’s incident in Jacksonville from 2023, where he hurled the contents of his drinking cup towards a Jaguars fan, Morgan took a bit of blame for his owner’s icy actions.

As Tepper did while explaining his side of the situation to McAfee earlier this month, Morgan noted that the Panthers brass did not take too kindly to the fan’s reaction to outside linebacker Marquis Haynes’ injury. Haynes, who sustained a concussion in the 26-0 loss, was carted off the field at EverBank Stadium and kept overnight at a local hospital.

Tepper was fined $300,000 by the NFL for “unacceptable conduct.”

Morgan, the team’s assistant general manager at the time, would be promoted to his current post the following season.
