What’d you think about this?
Makes sense.
Tennessee definitely needs more edge presence, that’s for sure.
gives them some flexibility at the f- fourth overall pick to say, “Hey, like, we got a young guy in the building here- Yep. “
-we don’t have to pigeonhole ourselves into an edge rusher at this standpoint.”
That’s kind of what some of these moves are at this stage, is being able to give yourself optimal flexibility- Yes if you’re one of these teams that Tennes- like Tennessee, that has a lot of needs.
Yes.
yeah, so that, that’s the thing here, i- is I think that’s the biggest takeaway.

But yeah, it’s a nice stab on a guy who’s obviously played for Robert Saleh before- Yep should, you know, fit the system, the, the whole deal there.
But that’s the Sweat part of this, going back to New York, is interesting- Yep ’cause yeah, you’re right, he had a really nice rookie year.
Yes, he did.
Really nice rookie year, and then just I mean, what went well in Tennessee last year?
Nothing- Yep essentially.
So maybe you can write it off to that, but, you’re not really quite sure what you’re getting if you’re the Jets, and that’s an entire team right now that I’m not quite sure what we’re getting.

Yeah, a- and it’s one of those where it’s like, okay, he needs to go to a place that can really, like, maybe some vets and be around him, maybe not a team that’s been losing a bunch.
Ooh!
So he goes to Tennessee, and it’s like, okay, well, maybe he finds a new And he goes to the Jets, and it’s like, oh, man.
Um- Going from a team that’s picking fourth- Yeah to second.
Yes.
And yeah, Sweat is, he’s so talented.
Yeah.
He’s huge, he’s got light feet.
Just watch his interception he had his rookie year, I believe, against the Bengals, and you get to see he’s throwing a stiff arm out there.
Like, he has talent, like, true Pro Bowl talent.

It’s just that you can’t rely on him, and, and that’s gonna kind of hang over his head until he proves otherwise.
so I do think that it’s I think it’s, for the Jets, it’s just they need to do this stuff.
Yeah.
Like, all right, if we’re not signing Johnson, we don’t wanna, like, fully commit to him, new regime, all that stuff, we didn’t draft him.
All right, might as well get someone that’s gonna kind of like reset the contract years, maybe get a spot that’s like, all right, we don’t have anybody there anyways.
Mm-hmm.
So maybe drop in a player that maybe we get more out of, just like they did with Mitchell.
Um- Yeah just so, like, Mitchell had some nice moments once he joined the Jets after the Colts traded him in that Sauce Gardner trade as, like, kind of a throw-in.
So-
