Terrion Arnold, a cornerback for the Detroit Lions, has emerged in legal documents connected to a serious armed robbery and kidnapping case in Florida. However, he has not been charged or arrested in the matter, according to recent court filings and verified reporting.
The developments have drawn significant attention across the sporting world after a judge in the Hillsborough County Circuit Court detailed allegations linked to a violent retaliation plot stemming from stolen property at a rental home.
What the court order alleges
A seven-page order dated Feb. 24, 2026, issued by Circuit Judge J. Logan Murphy, grants the state’s motion for pretrial detention for Boakai Eugene Hilton, one of several defendants accused of planning and executing an armed robbery and kidnapping. According to the document, the alleged attack was carried out in Tampa, Florida, days after items were reported stolen from an Airbnb rental in Largo that Arnold and his companions were using.
Florida authorities allege that the rental property was burglarized twice before the subsequent violent incident. Items reportedly taken included designer bags and jewelry, firearms, an NFL-issued cellphone, and approximately $100,000 in cash, according to police reports filed with the Largo Police Department.

The court order outlines how Hilton, described by the judge as appearing to orchestrate the attack through text messages, and other defendants allegedly lured three individuals to an apartment under false pretenses.
There, the victims were reportedly held for about an hour, beaten and pistol-whipped, and threatened with firearms in an effort to recover the stolen property and Arnold’s phone. Text messages introduced as evidence allegedly show one defendant placing a gun barrel in a victim’s mouth while demanding information related to the thefts.Arnold’s role in court documents
While Arnold’s name appears in the factual narrative of the order, it is important to emphasize that he has not been charged with any crime, nor has he been arrested as of the latest court filings. The order suggests Arnold was present during a car ride in which Hilton and others discussed plans that preceded the alleged kidnapping. Prosecutors, however, have not accused Arnold himself of organizing or participating in the violence.
The court filing also references text messages and communications involving individuals identified as Arnold’s friends and, in one instance, his girlfriend, who allegedly helped lure the victims to the apartment where the violence occurred. But, again, these mentions do not currently equate to criminal charges against the Lions cornerback.
Charges against other parties
To date, five individuals have been arrested in connection with the Florida incident. Along with Hilton, others, including Jasmine Randazzo, Adrianna Del Valle, Lyndell Hudson, and Christion Williams, face multiple charges ranging from kidnapping to armed robbery.
The Florida court has ordered pretrial detention for Hilton and possibly other defendants, citing the seriousness of the alleged crimes and risk to public safety.
Prosecutors allege the plot was motivated by a desire to recover stolen property without waiting for law enforcement, essentially amounting to vigilante action that resulted in a violent and illegal confrontation.
Terrion Arnold, 22, was a first-round pick (24th overall) by the Detroit Lions in the 2024 NFL Draft after a standout collegiate career at Alabama. He has since been an active member of the Lions’ secondary and is viewed as one of their promising young cornerbacks as the franchise prepares for the 2026 NFL season.
