Donna Kelce, mother of Kansas City Chiefs star Travis Kelce, leaned into her newfound fame this past year. As Taylor Swift’s soon-to-be mother-in-law, there’s a huge spotlight on the 73-year-old.
Donna first catapulted to fame after Travis and his older brother, Jason Kelce, faced one another in Super Bowl LVII. The mother of two future NFL Hall of Famers has garnered sponsorship deals with several companies, including Ziploc, Pillsbury, and more.
While she joined the season 4 cast of “Traitors,” Donna was the third contestant eliminated from the competition reality series. Speaking to TMZ, Donna shared a hilariously blunt comment on her early exit.
“I knew my mission. My mission was to increase viewership. Because of people I know, not because of me,” she told the outlet earlier this month.

While she had a great time on the show, “I just don’t understand why they didn’t keep me a little longer,” Donna added. “It would have helped their careers. More viewership.”
As Donna prepares to return to the set for a big “Traitors” reunion episode on February 26, trolls commented on a promotional photo of Donna, making remarks about her looks. Donna, however, personally responded to these comments and shared personal news about her slimmed-down look.
Donna Kelce Announced She Dropped 30 Pounds Over the Past Year
In screenshots captured by the Kelce Brothers, a popular fan account, Donna responded to mean fans’ comments with grace. One person wrote, “That’s a man.” Donna replied, “I am as tall as one.. Bahahaha but I have the cesarean scars to prove I gave birth.”
Another woman wrote, “Weight loss drugs worked!” Donna commented, “I did it myself with intermittent fasting thanks about 30 pounds over a year.”
Whether it’s because she’ll be the mother of the groom in what’s expected to be the wedding of the century, or simply focusing more on her health, fans were thrilled for the grandmother of four.
One person wrote, “Way to go, Mama Kelce. Thats discipline!! Love that YOU wanted to do it for YOU.” Another fan added, “Donna is a class act ! Beautiful inside and out ❤️.”
Donna Kelce Spoke Out on Travis Kelce’s Retirement Decision

The NFL world anxiously awaits Travis’s decision on retirement. It remains unclear whether the 36-year-old tight will return for what would be his 14th season with the Chiefs or hang up his cleats for good.
“You know, I just want him to do what he feels comfortable doing. He’s gotta talk to people in his life to decide what he wants to do.” Donna told TMZ. “So I’m not sure. We’ll see what happens!”
The Athletic’s Andrew Marchand reported that Travis could be lured into broadcasting as a studio analyst with a massive pay day. However, Marchand predicts the 11-time Pro Bowler returns to Kansas City in 2026.
“Travis Kelce appears as if he will try to play another season before potentially trying broadcasting, where he would like to call games, but probably could pick up at least $15 million per year as a studio presence.” Marchand wrote.
