According to reporter Ryan Linkletter, the Kansas City Chiefs had a “formal meeting” with South Carolina Gamecocks cornerback Brandon Cisse this week at the 2026 NFL Scouting Combine in Indianapolis, Indiana.
During his conversation at the podium, Cisse praised defensive coordinator Steve Spagnuolo’s coaching and cornerback Trent McDuffie’s play.
The Chiefs are potentially in need of additional help at cornerback, with their two starters at risk of hitting free agency and moving on elsewhere. The front office, led by Brett Veach, is showing interest in Cisse’s specific skill set.

Cisse is sticky in man coverage, relying on his loose hips, speed, and agility to smother routes out of press,” wrote Chiefs Wire’s Samuel Teets. “His lack of experience shows up in some moments of panic when he overreacts and disrupts his own leverage. However, there are flashes of Cisse’s elite movement skills helping him to mirror releases and stay attached throughout complex routes.”
Cisse finished the 2025 season with 12 appearances for the Gamecocks, recording one interception, five pass deflections, one forced fumble, and 27 combined tackles.
