The Denver Broncos are searching for a tight end this offseason, and one of quarterback Bo Nix’s old teammates could be among their top options.

The Broncos met with Oregon tight end Kenyon Sadiq (6-3, 245 pounds) at the NFL combine earlier this week, and he could be a candidate for the team’s 30th overall pick in the first round of April’s NFL draft.

“It was good,” Sadiq said of his meeting with Denver, via the Denver Post’s Luca Evans. “It was just about getting to know the coaches, they kind of test me [on] what I know [and] my background in football. So, like I said, all the meetings went really well and it’s been awesome.”

Sadiq totaled five receptions for 24 yards and one score during Nix’s final season with the Ducks in 2023.

“It would be awesome, just already knowing how he kind of thinks and stuff, being around him,” Sadiq said of potentially reuniting with Nix. “He’s a great guy and he makes everyone better around him.”

After playing behind Terrance Ferguson, Sadiq blossomed in an expanded role last fall, hauling in 51 receptions for 560 yards and eight touchdowns. He is now considered a potential first-round pick.

The 2026 NFL draft will be held in Pittsburgh from April 23-25. After receiving two compensatory picks, the Broncos will hold nine selections this spring.
