Kenneth Walker III #9 of the Seattle Seahawks
The Seattle Seahawks didn’t have much time to celebrate after winning Super Bowl LX against the New England Patriots, with the NFL scouting combine getting underway this week in Indianapolis.
The team’s brass is already back at it and will have a busy offseason, with questions surrounding the future of Super Bowl MVP running back Kenneth Walker III.

At this point, it is unclear what the future holds for Walker in Seattle, even though all indications so far are that the team wants to sign the young running back to a contract extension.
However, if the Seahawks don’t place a franchise tag on Walker or drag their feet in the process of signing him to a new deal, another team could swoop in and upgrade their backfield with the talented Michigan State product.
According to Albert Breer of Sports Illustrated, three AFC heavyweights make sense for the Super Bowl MVP, starting with the Kansas City Chiefs.
Super Bowl MVP Kenneth Walker III’s situation with the Seahawks remains an interesting one. Presuming the Seahawks decline to tag Walker, the Chiefs loom as an interesting suitor.
Along with the Chiefs potentially showing interest in signing Walker in free agency, the Denver Broncos and Houston Texans might also be threats to steal him away from the Seahawks.
Maybe Walker, who might pair nicely with a high draft pick like Ohio State’s Carnell Tate coming in at the receiver spot, would be one too for the Chiefs. I’d also assume a few other teams, like the Broncos and Texans, might also see it that way.
During the 2025 NFL regular season, Walker didn’t put up eye-popping numbers, racking up 1,309 yards from scrimmage and five rushing touchdowns.
However, he was crucial to the Seahawks’ success in the NFL playoffs, leading the way with 417 yards from scrimmage and four touchdowns, which has dramatically increased his value in free agency, potentially making it difficult for Seattle to keep him away from other teams like Kansas City, Denver and Houston.
Mike Macdonald Reveals Funny Conversation With Tom Brady

After the Seahawks won Super Bowl LX and lifted the Vince Lombardi Trophy for the second time in the franchise’s history, head coach Mike Macdonald told Rich Eisen he received hundreds of congratulatory text messages.
One of those text messages was from seven-time Super Bowl champion and Las Vegas Raiders team owner Tom Brady, who couldn’t help but take a funny shot at hiring now-former Seahawks offensive coordinator Klint Kubiak to be the new head coach in Sin City.
“Tom Brady texted me, that was cool,” Macdonald said. “I did tell him, ‘Thanks for stealing our OC.’”
Heading into Super Bowl LX, it was the worst-kept secret in the NFL that Kubiak was going to take the job to be Pete Carroll’s replacement in Las Vegas. The Raiders made the official announcement shortly after the Seahawks beat the Patriots earlier this month.
