Pennsylvania sports fans were polled on their opinions about the Philadelphia Eagles and Pittsburgh Steelers as the NFL’s free agency period approaches.

Conducted by Quinnipiac University, the poll includes a sample of 912 Pennsylvanians who were surveyed Feb 19-23 via random phone calls.

Pittsburgh Steelers fans are split on quarterback Aaron Rodger’s future with the team. 51% of fans believe the Steelers should move on, while 32% believe he should remain the team’s starter in 2026.

Among all NFL fans, 40% think the Steelers should replace Rodgers, and 31% believe they should keep him. 29% didn’t offer an opinion.

New head coach Mike McCarthy has big shoes to fill after longtime head coach Mike Tomlin stepped down this offseason. It appears Steelers fans aren’t convinced on McCarthy at this point.

The data shows 40% of Steelers fans think the team made the right move hiring McCarthy, but 31% think it was the wrong move. 29% did not offer an opinion.

Fans on a national level are slightly more supportive, with 39% thinking McCarthy was the right hire and 24% thinking it was the wrong hire.

Philadelphia fans and fans of other teams agreed that the Eagles should keep quarterback Jalen Hurts going into the 2026 season.

According to the poll, 83% of Eagles fans and 72% of all fans believe the Eagles should keep Hurts. Only 8% of all fans believe Philadelphia should move on from the Super Bowl-winning quarterback.

Eagles head coach Nick Sirianni is also well supported, with 75% of Eagles fans and 68% of NFL fans believing he should remain the head coach.

10% of Eagles fans believe the team should fire Sirianni, which is actually greater than the 8% of NFL fans who said he should be fired.

Despite trade rumors swirling around wide receiver A.J. Brown, 68% of Eagles fans hope the team keeps Brown on the roster, while only 19% believe he should be traded.

Only 52% of NFL fans believe the Eagles should keep Brown around. 25% think the team should trade him, and 23% did not offer an opinion.
