Evaluators have compared Love to other top running back prospects like Ashton Jeantty and Bijon Robinson.

If you believe the rumors, the Kansas City Chiefs may have targeted the player they think can bring superstar Pat Mahomes back to the Super Bowl.

Notre Dame running back Jeremiyah Love has been one of the most discussed players during the NFL combine and has very recently become a popular ESPN mock draft pick to the Kansas City Chiefs at pick No. 9.

When asked about the speculation, Love has embraced it. He acknowledged in an appearance on the “The Rich Eisen Show” that he had seen projections of him going to the Chiefs, Saints, and Giants among others and that it “would be an honor” to play with Kansas City quarterback Patrick Mahomes.

While Chiefs fans may be excited about the idea of the partnership, other executives are not. ESPN draft expert Matt Miller was recently on “The Dan Patrick Show” and had said sources tell him “please do not let Jeremiyah Love fall to Kansas City. Don’t let that happen. Do not give Patrick Mahomes Jeremiyah Love.”

Evaluators have compared Love’s profile to other recent premium running back prospects such as Ashton Jeantty and Bijon Robinson saying Love could provide Mahomes his most dynamic backfield weapon since Kareem Hunt’s early seasons with Kansas City.
