A benefit of being a professional athlete is that you have a strong likelihood of being able to play multiple sports. For Denver Broncos wide receiver Courtland Sutton, he will get a chance to change fields alongside other Broncos players on June 5. The field? A baseball field for a home run derby.

Sutton and fellow Broncos will participate in UCHealth’s annual home run derby next month. Although the tickets are ten dollars, only 1,000 tickets will be available.

The reason for the home run derby is a noteworthy one, benefiting Freedom Service Dogs. More via Fox 31’s Heather Willard:

The beneficiary is a Colorado-based nonprofit that breeds, raises and trains service dogs for people with physical and intellectual disabilities. The nonprofit provides the dogs free of charge, but raising and training each pup costs about $50,000.

While Sutton and his teammates will most likely stick to the football field, their participation in a larger cause is a noble way to spend their offseason.
