The Arizona Cardinals have decisions to make with their quarterback room. They might end up getting rid of two quarterbacks. They are searching for trade partners for Kyler Murray, but there is also interest in Jacoby Brissett.

According to the Boston Globe’s Ben Volin, two teams have interest in Brissett.

One is the New York Jets, who have a new offensive coordinator in Frank Reich, who was head coach of the Indianapolis Colts from 2018-2022. Brissett played for him 2018-2020, starting 15 games in 2019.

They are expected to move on from Justin Fields.

The Atlanta Falcons are the other team. Michael Penix Jr. won’t be ready for the start of the season, as he recovers from a torn ACL. Kevin Stefanski is the Falcons’ new head coach. Brissett started 11 games for the Cleveland Browns in 2022 when Stefanski was head coach there.

Brissett had a career season in 2025 for Arizona, starting 12 games and passing for a career-high 3,366 yards and 23 touchdowns.

Brissett is under contract for one more season with the Cardinals. He will make almost $4.9 million in salary in 2026. The balance of production and salary would make him potentially attractive to a team who needs steady play.

By moving both Murray and Brissett, it would allow new head coach Mike LaFleur to start with guys he wants at the position without any holdovers.

It is something to watch in the weeks to come as we approach the new league year.
