The Tennessee Titans have their franchise quarterback in place in Cam Ward, and now general manager Mike Borgonzi and newly hired head coach Robert Saleh are looking to build a strong supporting cast around him.

Though the team is pretty well stocked at the running back position with Tony Pollard and Tyjae Spears, perhaps the Titans are willing to gamble on adding another elite RB to the mix.

According to fantasy expert Matthew Barry, he’s heard the Titans are at least considering drafting Notre Dame’s Jeremiyah Love with the No. 4 overall pick in Aprils draft.

Notre Dame RB Jeremiyah Love

“I got a wild card for you,” Barry stated. “The rumor I heard last night: the Titans. The Tennessee Titans think Jeremiyah Love is the best player in the NFL draft. Now that’s a rumor, I’m not reporting it as news — I’m not a journalist. But could you imagine, Jeremiyah Love as a member of the new-look Titans?”

Adding Love would give the Titans an explosive backfield to help alleviate some of the pressure on Ward.

Tennessee has bigger areas of need — particularly receiver and pass-rusher — but if they love Love as much as Barry says, he could be too enticing to pass up.
