In his latest 2026 NFL mock draft for the league’s official website, Gennaro Filice has the Denver Broncos beefing up their interior defensive line late in the first round.
Filice projects Denver picking Clemson defensive tackle Peter Woods with the 30th overall pick.
“With 14.5 sacks over the past two seasons in Denver, John Franklin-Myers has been an underrated stud on Vance Joseph’s face-melting front,” Filice wrote for NFL.com. “The pending free agent is poised to cash in on the open market, though, putting IDL among the Broncos’ bigger needs.
“At this time one year ago, Woods appeared destined for the top 10. But like the Clemson team as a whole, the ballyhooed big man suffered a down season. With his draft stock in flux, Woods could land with a contender and ultimately prove to be a steal.”
Woods (6-2, 298 pounds) recorded 30 tackles, two sacks and one pass breakup in 12 games with the Tigers last fall. He totaled 84 tackles, five sacks, two forced fumbles and one PBU in three seasons (35 games) at Clemson.
