With the NFL Scouting Combine underway in Indianapolis, the Houston Texans have decided to make a change to their coaching staff.

The Texans enjoyed yet another successful season under head coach DeMeco Ryans. Despite starting the year with a 3-5 record, they managed to win nine games in a row and clinch a playoff berth. They dismantled the Pittsburgh Steelers in the opening round of the playoffs before suffering a tough loss to the New England Patriots in the divisional round.

While there’s no question Ryans has a Super Bowl-caliber defense, the offense in Houston needs to get much better in order for the Texans to capture the Lombardi Trophy.

That being said, ESPN’s Adam Schefter just reported that Texans quarterbacks coach Jerrod Johnson has been fired.

Johnson, 37, joined Houston’s staff during the 2023 season. He previously spent time with the Minnesota Vikings, Indianapolis Colts and San Francisco 49ers.
