The NFL Scouting Combine was not only a big opportunity for NFL Draft prospects, it was an opportunity for all 32 NFL franchises. One of the few times during the year, all of the franchises are in the same location.
When this happens, a lot of information comes from the combine. This includes things such as free agency predictions, contract informations, and even potential trades.

Recently, former Las Vegas Raiders quarterback was reported to be interested in coming out of retirement–for the right situation. In an always quarterback needy NFL, there felt like there was a situation that could work for Carr.

However, it appears that is not the case. In fact, it was reported no team has expressed interest in his services.
Carr’s contract rights are currently with the New Orleans Saints. His services require the Saints’ permission to facilitate a trade–and compensation they deem as fair.

Then there is the financial side of things. The Saints are eating a dead cap of $36M this season after his late offseason retirement in 2025.

Could the Saints want a team to help with this? That part is unclear. What is clear is that right now, no team wants that contract or to compensate for his services.

Things can change. Last season, the Indianapolis Colts did the unthinkable by bringing Philip Rivers out of retirement with Daniel Jones and Anthony Richardson on IR.
Could Carr find himself in that type of situation? It’s possible. Right now, though, there isn’t any interest in the former second-round pick.
