NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) – The Tennessee Titans are reportedly trading away a young defensive tackle for a Pro Bowl defensive end from now-head coach Robert Saleh’s previous head-coaching gig.

Multiple reports say that the New York Jets are trading DE Jermaine Johnson for the Titans’ DT T’Vondre Seat.

ESPN was first to report the trade.

The transaction reportedly cannot be processed until the start of the new league year in March. He said that this also marks the first trade of the NFL off-season.

The defensive end made multiple stops in college before being drafted by the Jets — his best season in New York came with a Pro Bowl designation in 2023, garnering 7.5 sacks, 11 tackles for loss, an interception returned for a touchdown, and more.

Sweat has played in 29 games in the two-tone blue, garnering 3 sacks, 38 tackles, and 1 forced fumble.
