Chicago Bears head coach Ben Johnson had quite the first year, where he led his team from worst to first with an 11-6 record, an NFC North title and a wild-card playoff win. He quickly endeared himself to players and fans alike, and that was evident during his “Good, Better, Best” postgame locker room speeches.

With the NFL Scouting Combine in the books, Johnson enjoyed some time off at Sunday’s game between the Chicago Bulls and Milwaukee Bucks at the United Center, where he was spotted in a suite with Bulls legend Scottie Pippen.

Johnson received an ovation from the Chicago crowd. And, when he was shown on the Jumbotron, Johnson had the ultimate fake-out for the crowd when he pretended to take his shirt off, a reference to Johnson’s infamous postgame celebration after the Bears beat the Philadelphia Eagles last season.

“The Weiners Circle” had promised free hotdogs for the city of Chicago if Johnson took his shirt off in celebration after a win. And while Johnson originally didn’t plan on complying, he said it felt right in the moment hot off the heels of the team’s biggest win to date over an NFC contending Eagles squad.

There’s no denying that the Bears’ future is bright with Johnson at the helm, where quarterback Caleb Williams continues to make strides and is positioning himself to become a star in the NFL. Chicago is poised to have another top offense in 2026, and if they can fill some big holes on defense, the Bears could once again be a contender.
