The 2026 league year is coming next month. It officially begins on March 11, with the legal negotiating period beginning on March 9.
The Arizona Cardinals have many roster decisions to make before then.

Leading up to the new league year, we will profile every player on the roster, go over what they did last season, what their contract status is and what they face in 2026.
Next up is offensive lineman Demontrey Jacobs.
Demontrey Jacobs 2025 season
After starting 13 games at right tackle for the New England Patriots in 2024, he did not make New England’s roster out of training camp. He signed with the Cardinals’ practice squad and was signed to the active roster after three weeks.
He was inactive as a healthy scratch for seven games and then was active for the final seven, although he appears in only five games. Over the final five games, he split time at left tackle with Josh Fryar.

He logged 65 snaps on offense and 16 on special teams.
Demontrey Jacobs contract status
He is under contract through 2026, and next offseason he will be a restricted free agent.
He is scheduled to make $1.075 million this season and his cpa charge will be the same.
Demontrey Jacobs offseason outlook
The Cardinals clearly valued him to keep him on the active roster for much of the season. He wasn’t good enough to start, but his starting experience perhaps will mean he competes for the starting right tackle job, as it is currently open.
If the Cardinals don’t go out and sign a starter and don’t draft one, Jacobs and Josh Fryar could compete for the role.

If the Cardinals address the position, then Jacobs will be battling for a role on the roster.
