ESPN NFL draft analyst Field Yates is raving about one pass rusher in particular that could be available when the Buffalo Bills are on the clock in Round 1 of the 2026 NFL draft.
Praised especially for his quickness, Oklahoma’s R Mason Thomas is the player Yates likes for the Bills in the first round.
“He’s got amazing burst,” Yates said. “Plays a million miles an hour.”
Buffalo currently is slated to select at No. 26 overall in Round 1. Thomas could be on the board then, but Yates likes him so much, he added Thomas might be gone by the Bills’ selection.
Yates noted Thomas played through injuries in 2025 but he still managed 6.5 sacks and 9.5 tackles for loss. The year prior, Thomas notched nine sacks and 12.5 TFL.
