With the NFL free agency period kicking off in a little over a week, there will be a ton of names thrown around as potential targets as the Tennessee Titans begin to overhaul their roster.Â
One name that continues to pop up in conversations or on social media is Denver Broncos defensive lineman John Franklin-Myers, who not only has a connection to Robert Saleh but was a teammate with new defensive assistant coach Tanzel Smart with the New York Jets.
On Monday, the idea of Franklin-Myers potentially joining the Titans moved from fan speculation to something that is being monitored by NFL Insiders, with Albert Breer dropping this nugget in his post-combine news and notes.Â
John Franklin-Myers is another name to watch, who might get more than you think next week. He will turn 30 in September, but had a really solid year for the Broncos, and brings inside/outside versatility that is immensely valuable in today’s game. A reunion with Robert Saleh in Tennessee might make some sense.
Over the past two seasons with the Broncos, Franklin-Myers has been solid, making 31 starts and recording 14.5 sacks, 92 quarterback pressures, and 41 defensive stops, and has been a consistent force for one of the NFL’s elite defenses.Â

The Titans are in dire need of playmakers in their front, and adding Franklin-Myers is a logical fit. Â
