The New England Patriots are expected to be busy this offseason, and after putting together a dismal performance in Super Bowl LX on the offensive side of the ball, it’s clear that the team needs some help on its offensive line. Luckily for the front office, targets keep popping up at this position ahead of the start of free agency.
The latest name to join the fray is Detroit Lions veteran Graham Glasgow, who spent the 2025 campaign playing as the team’s center. That experiment didn’t go too well, though, and in an effort to save some cap space, the Lions opted to release Glasgow on Monday, making him a free agent that the Pats could look at.
“Lions have released OL Graham Glasgow,” the team announced in a post on X Monday afternoon.
Glasgow is a 10-year NFL veteran who has spent his career playing at all three interior positions. While he can play at center, Glasgow is at his best when he’s playing as a guard, which could be worth noting when considering what the team opts to do with Jared Wilson moving forward.
The veteran o-lineman is set to turn 34 years old in July, though, so it’s fair to wonder if he truly fits the team’s timeline on offense currently. With this spot being such a big area of need, though, New England would be wise to check in on just about every offensive lineman they think could help them, and it wouldn’t be a surprise if Glasgow is a part of that list.
