In college athletics, conference expansion is everything right now and Boise State fans are eager to play in a larger conference–because it’s finally here: the Pac-12. The teams with the best chances of playing in major bowl games, landing major recruits, and getting major television exposure all belong to these larger “Power 5” conferences. While the Pac-12 is NOT a power conference at this time, the many programs joining it are confident in its ability to raise their stock.

For years, even at their height, Boise State has taken heat for not having a difficult schedule and dancing right into a great record at the end of the season. Of course, losing in these conferences is no good for the same reasons–major programs and critics can say “you lose to WHO!?”.

With the Pac-12 on the horizon–Boise State will be playing, in most sports, many familiar programs that are also leaving the Mountain West for the Pac-12.

One new opponent is kind of a big deal and basketball, in particular, is going to be a problem.

Enter Gonzaga University–one of the winningest college basketball programs in America.

Are Bronco fans ready for what’s to come?

Unlike Boise State, who still can’t stack an impressive non-conference schedule, you will see Gonzaga agreeing to matchups against perennial powers like the University of Kentucky, Duke, North Carolina, and Baylor.

By the way, Gonzaga has 1/3 of Boise State’s enrollment.

Now, all eyes will soon be on Gonzaga and we’re not just talking about the March Madness tournament.

Tubi, an ad-supported free streaming service, will be unveiling an entire feature-length documentary on the Gonzaga Basketball program titled ‘Gonzaga: The Slipper Still Fits’.

Once a ‘Cinderella program’, the Zags are a modern day blue blood and the documentary will feature interviews and insight from long time coach Mark Few along with an impressive list of NBA stars that came from the program.

Expect the documentary to drop on Friday, March 6th–with an impressive behinds the scenes look at a program that will soon be traveling to Boise on the regular.
