Veteran linebacker Von Miller spent the 2025 campaign with the Washington Commanders after passing up an offer from the Seattle Seahawks.

While Miller said it was tough missing out on a Super Bowl, he felt he made the right decision at the time between his two contract offers.

“I think last offseason with everything that was presented, I would’ve made that decision 10 times out of 10,” he said on the Rich Eisen Show. “It wasn’t that I didn’t believe in Sam Darnold; it’s just Jayden Daniels. It wasn’t that I didn’t believe in [Jaxon Smith-Njigba], it was just Terry McLaurin. They had just played in the NFC Championship the year before… It’s just, for me, I felt like the connection that I had with Adam Peters and Dan Quinn and the team that they had, they just needed a couple more pieces to get over the hump, and they get hit with the injury bug.”

Miller, who is a free agent, also said that he “would love” to run it back with the Commanders this year after a disappointing 2025 campaign.

“I’m a loyal guy. I would love to stay with the Washington Commanders,” he said. “I fell in love with my teammates there. I love the way they run the organization. Adam Peters is great, Coach Quinn is great. I would love to be a Washington Commander.”

But if Washington doesn’t work out, the 36-year-old Miller said he wouldn’t mind taking it back to where it all started.

“If something were to happen and I’m not a Washington Commander, I would love to go to the Denver Broncos… I didn’t get the chance to have closure,” he said. “I didn’t get the chance to walk into the stadium and say, ‘Okay, this is my last game here.'”

While Miller is gearing up for his 15th NFL season, he’s managed to stay productive, logging 26 tackles and nine sacks a year ago. Whether Washington or Denver, he should be able to make an impact.
