Washington Commanders edge rusher Von Miller is hoping to continue making an impact in the NFL next year in what will be his 16th season in the league.

The two-time Super Bowl champion stated recently on The Rich Eisen Show that he hopes to get the chance to continue playing for the Commanders, after recording nine sacks with the NFC East side during the 2025 campaign, as per nbcsports.com.

However, if things don’t happen to go that way this offseason, then Miller would instead be open to making a comeback to the team where he first made his mark in the NFL.

“I would love to be a Washington Commander. Now, if something were to happen and I’m not a Washington Commander, then I would love to go to the Denver Broncos,” Miller said when speaking to Eisen.

“I got traded whenever I was there, I didn’t get that chance to have closure. I didn’t get to walk into the stadium and be, ‘Ok, this is my last game’ or ‘I’m gonna do this with the fans.’ I didn’t get that closure. So, I would love to have, you know, closure with the Denver Broncos.”

Miller knows the NFL is a business

Miller however understands that professional sports is also a business and ultimately, he will look to make the most of whatever opportunity comes his way.

“And if, hey, the Commanders don’t want me, the Denver Broncos don’t want me, there’s a team out there that’s gonna pick me up that would love to have my tricks on their roster,” he said.

“I just play it by ear…. just got to make the best out of whatever decision I get.”

The 36 year old Miller was drafted by the Broncos with the second overall pick back in 2011, and he was also the MVP of Super Bowl 50 when Denver won the title in the 2015 season.

Regardless of where Miller does end up next year, there is no doubting his status as a Broncos legend. And so, it sure would be a wonderful sight for the Denver fanbase to see Miller in a Broncos uniform once again.
