With the NFL Scouting Combine in the books, ESPN analyst Jordan Reid released his latest 2026 NFL mock draft, and he has the San Francisco 49ers addressing two key offensive needs in the first two rounds.

49ers target receiver depth in Round 1

Wide receiver could quickly become a pressing need for the 49ers with Brandon Aiyuk departing and Jauan Jennings set to hit free agency next week. Kendrick Bourne and Skyy Moore are also scheduled to test the market. That potential exodus would leave San Francisco thin at the position.

Additionally, 2024 first-round pick Ricky Pearsall is coming off an injury-marred 2025 campaign that slowed his development in his second NFL season.

To address the uncertainty, Reid projects former Texas A&M wide receiver KC Concepcion to the 49ers with the No. 27 overall pick.

“Concepcion is an explosive playmaker who has many traits that translate to success in coach Kyle Shanahan’s scheme,” Reid wrote. “Concepcion kicks it into gear on route stems and racks up plenty of big plays as a pass catcher and a return specialist.”

Concepcion (6-0, 196) totaled 2,218 receiving yards and 25 touchdown catches over three collegiate seasons. He also showed some versatility, adding three rushing touchdowns. In 2025 alone, he recorded 919 receiving yards and nine touchdowns, along with 75 rushing yards and a score on 10 carries, according to Sports Reference.

49ers add offensive line help in Round 2

Reid has the 49ers continuing to strengthen the offense in the second round, projecting former Northwestern offensive tackle Caleb Tiernan to San Francisco.

“All-Pro tackle Trent Williams will turn 38 years old prior to next season and is currently renegotiating his contract,” Reid wrote. “Finding an heir apparent would be wise. At 6-8, 328 pounds, Tiernan is a dependable and high-floor blocker who could eventually take over at either tackle spot.”

Tiernan’s 59.7 run-blocking grade from Pro Football Focus in 2025 raises some questions, though he posted a stronger 74.8 mark in 2024. More encouragingly, he has earned at least an 84.3 pass-blocking grade in each of the past two seasons.

In 2025, Tiernan surrendered three sacks and 13 total pressures. Having primarily played left tackle over the past three years, he profiles as a logical understudy to Williams and a potential long-term anchor of the offensive line.
