NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) – The Tennessee Titans and American Red Cross are teaming up to host a blood drive this month in Nashville.
The event is in recognition of Red Cross Month. A press release said the drive will happen at Nissan Stadium West Club on Wednesday, March 18, from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m. The organization encourages donors to schedule an appointment at redcrossblood.org using the sponsor code: TITANS. Walk-ins are also accepted.
The Titans and Red Cross said they hope the blood drive will help the community recover from January’s deadly ice storm.
“Our area is facing a critically low blood supply following Winter Storm Fern,” said Josh Corey, Titans Vice President of Cause Marketing. “We’re proud to partner with the Red Cross to help meet this urgent need and we know Titans fans will step up the way they always do by showing up for their neighbors and making a real difference in our community.”
They reminded potential donors that their contributions are an invaluable tool that can help save lives.
“Donating blood is one of the most direct, lifesaving ways to support your community,” said Joel Valdez, Regional Donor Services Executive for the American Red Cross of Tennessee. “Your involvement ensures we can be there when patients and families need us most.”
People who donate blood in March are eligible for a free A1C test and a $15 Amazon Gift Card, which will be sent via email.
