The New York Giants reportedly will face some competition as they try to retain wide receiver Wan’Dale Robinson this offseason, but it sounds like they’re prepared for a fight.

Connor Hughes of SNY reported that while there is “mutual interest” between Robinson and the Tennessee Titans, the Giants “will not go down quietly during the legal tampering period.” Tennessee reportedly “will have to outbid” New York if it wants to land Robinson when free agency officially opens.

Earlier this week, Hughes reported that the Titans are expected to be aggressive in their pursuit of Robinson, stating, “Robinson could be the most difficult to retain. His market is expected to be strong, and the Titans have significant interest. Tennessee needs weapons for quarterback Cam Ward, and former Giants head coach Brian Daboll is on staff there. Sources SNY spoke with believed Robinson is more likely to play elsewhere than return to New York.”

A second-round pick in the 2022 NFL draft, Robinson put forth a career year in 2025 with 92 catches for 1,014 yards and four touchdowns. The Giants would’ve had the chance to stop the 25-year-old from becoming an unrestricted free agent by using the franchise tag, but they opted not to tag him, as it would’ve guaranteed him $28 million for the 2026 season.

The Athletic’s Dan Duggan reported last week that Robinson is a player the Giants would like to retain “at the right price.”

That hesitance could open the door for the Titans, as they have an NFL-high $94.8 million in cap space.

Still, it sounds like the Giants are trying to make a last-ditch effort to convince Robinson to stay put. Losing him would be a major blow to New York’s passing attack in the team’s first year under head coach John Harbaugh, so it should be prepared to break the bank to keep Robinson.
