Omar Cooper Jr. finished his four-year Indiana football career with a national title, his last-minute touchdown against Penn State being one of the indelible moments during the championship journey.

The Lawrence North High School product became a deep threat in 2024 (21.2 yards per catch) and a consistent target in 2025 (69 catches, 937 yards, 13.6 yards per, 13 touchdowns).

NFL mock draft 2026: Where will Indiana football receiver Omar Cooper Jr. be picked in the 2026 NFL Draft?

Tim Crean, Clutch Points: 27th to 49ers; Denzel Boston of Washington was previously in this spot

“With the wide receiver options getting thin, the 49ers could look at Omar Cooper Jr., who ran a 4.42 40 at 6 feet, 199 pounds. Cooper is a jack-of-all-trades whose numbers suggest he’s more athletic than originally thought. He may not have the no-doubt WR1 upside some of these WR prospects have, but he may be the perfect Juwan Jennings and Brandon Aiyuk replacement as he often gets comped to a pretty good former San Francisco receiver, Deebo Samuel.”

Tom Fornelli, CBS Sports: 26th to Bills

“Omar Cooper Jr. had a great combine that helped his stock considerably. Buffalo needs weapons at receiver, and Cooper strikes me as the kind of player who would know how to find the space to help Josh Allen when he extends plays for 20 minutes.”

Lance Zierlein, NFL.com: 24th to Browns

“Cooper is big, strong and has the ability to add yards after the catch. He’s also talented enough to work all three levels of the field.”

Dane Brugler, The Athletic: 21st to Steelers

“The third wide receiver off the board in this mock, Cooper has the ball skills that would make him a great fit for the Steelers’ quick-strike offense. His strong lower body and toughness make him a chore for defenders to finish to the ground.”

Cody Williams, FanSided: Cooper, 27th to 49ers

“With Omar Cooper Jr. running in the low 4.4s at the Combine, I don’t see any way that he’s not drafted in the first round now. He was a reliable presence for the Indiana offense and now has the athletic testing to back up the fact that he can do it in the NFL as well. The 49ers’ pass-catcher situation is less than sightly at this point, and Cooper could come in to largely be what they’d once hoped Brandon Aiyuk could be for this offense in terms of his versatility and potential high usage.”

Ryan Wilson, CBS Sports: Cooper, 27th to 49ers

“We’ll see what happens with Jauan Jennings in San Francisco, but Brandon Aiyuk may have played his last snap. As it stands, the WR room includes Ricky Pearsall, Demarcus Robinson, Jordan Watkins and Jacob Cowing under contract … and that’s it. There’s a need at guard too, but Cooper Jr. feels like a Kyle Shanahan-type receiver.”
