Bears and Bills finalizing a trade that sends DJ Moore to Buffalo per Adam Schefter.
the compensation looks like it turns out to be a fifth rounder, and DJ Moore for the Bills second round pick.
So there are some doubters about signing, trading for a wide receiver that’s 28.
He’ll be 29 when the season begins.
He has a 28 and a half point million, point five million dollar cap hit for the next couple of years.
They’ve guaranteed some money.
That means he’s gonna be paid for the next several years.
He’s locked into the Bills.
That’s a lot of money for DJ Moore.
How do we feel about this with Josh Allen?

Yeah, I mean, I think that they had to make this big swing because that was their, that was their problem last year.
It’s been a problem for a while that, that Josh Allen has, hasn’t had that number one receiver to throw to, and he obviously instantly becomes wide receiver number one.
And does he, does he advance to the level of, you know, top first round draft pick for, on, in fantasy?
I don’t know about that.
But I think, do think that it gives the Bills an added depth advantage that they absolutely needed at the wide, wide receiver position.
They needed more deep threats, and that’s what they’ve got right now.

I do believe DJ Moore is a really good player.
He’s coming off of a year where we could say it’s because of his relationship with Caleb, or we can say it’s because it wasn’t a fit in Ben Johnson’s offense.
Either way, he’s coming off a year where he had 50 catches for 682 yards.
Those are pretty paltry numbers compared to what we expect for a wide receiver paid at that level.
So, I think part of this production versus payment is a little concerning to me.
Also, like I- I’ll dumb it down to the simplest way I think a lot of us can think about it.
When your favorite team, whatever your favorite team is for anyone watching, when your favorite team starts the week and you look at who they’re about to play, how often have you sat there and said, “Oh my God, we have to figure out a way to slow down DJ Moore”?

Like, whether it’s with the Panthers or with the Bears, how often have we said, oh, any of us, as fans said, “Man, I don’t know about that matchup.
Man, they got DJ.
Whew.”
Like, that’s what we say about Jackson Smith-Njigba.
That’s what we say about Jamar.
That’s what people have said at different times about A.J.
Brown, right?
That’s what we say about the best of the best.
At his age and his cap number, he’s not in that category to me.
So yes, they get a, a, a good wide receiver.
I, I think DJ Moore is a good wide receiver.
I just don’t think they get a transcendent, epic wide receiver, and I do believe that they gave up enough value and they’re paying him enough that to me, you can get somebody better
