The 2026 NFL Scouting Combine is behind us, and all the talk is about which prospects rose and fell on the draft board.

New York Jets fans were focused on the top options for the second overall pick. Arvell Reese lit up the forty, while David Bailey was also impressive. Rueben Bain’s extremely short arms were a headline, too.

He’s not one of the Jets’ top targets at No. 2 overall, but the brightest star at the 2026 combine may have been Reese’s Buckeyes teammate, linebacker Sonny Styles.

The 21-year-old posted a perfect 10.00 Relative Athletic Score, highlighted by his absurd 4.46 forty-yard dash time as a 6-foot-5, 244-pound linebacker. He also set a position record with a 43.5-inch vertical, complemented by a similarly historic 134-inch broad jump.

Styles hasn’t generated much hype amongst Jets fans and writers, as he is widely expected to be taken somewhere between New York’s two first-round picks at Nos. 2 and 16.

But you never know what might happen on draft night. The Jets could slide down from No. 2 or climb from No. 16, positioning themselves to take Styles, an athletic specimen who plays a position of need.

Forget the testing numbers for a second, though—let’s talk about the important stuff.

Does Styles’ film show a player who deserves to be taken by the Jets in the top half of the first round?

On the latest episode of Blewett’s Blitz, we break down the All-22 film of Styles’ 2025 performances against Penn State, UCLA, Michigan, Indiana, and Miami. We will analyze his scouting report, project where he should be drafted, and determine whether he makes sense as a trade-up or trade-down target for New York.

Below is the full Sonny Styles scouting report (strengths and weaknesses) and film review.
