The Tennessee Titans have been surprisingly quiet this week heading into the start of the new league year, leaving fans to speculate about what is in store for next week.

The Titans enter free agency with some significant roster holes and will not be able to address them all, but they should be able to make a dent and add some quality players who can help raise the floor of the organization.

Over the past few weeks, there have been a ton of names floated as potential targets, so we at Titans Wire decided to throw out some ideas on some players we believe could be on the Titans’ radar once free agency opens.

Here is what we came up with:

DL John Franklin-Myers

This one almost feels like an inevitability. Franklin-Myers is familiar with head coach Robert Saleh, and almost every outlet believes this contract will get done early in the free agency period.

Edmunds’ release plays into the Titans’ needs, and Saleh has talked openly about Edmunds in the past, when he was head coach of the New York Jets. Edmunds would give the Titans an athletic leader at linebacker and could excel in the system.

CB Alontae Taylor

Taylor is a quality cornerback who doesn’t seem to be getting much attention heading into free agency. The Titans definitely need an upgrade at cornerback, and Taylor could do just that.

WR Calvin Austin

Going off the board with this pick, Austin is an explosive slot receiver who was coming on in 2025 as an outside receiver before injuring his shoulder and missing a large chunk of time. Similar to Wan’Dale Robinson, who has been mentioned throughout the offseason, Austin would be a more affordable option.

C Luke Fortner

This one may not be a popular pick with those who want to make a splash in free agency, but a solid veteran center who won’t break the bank could be just what the doctor ordered. Tennessee could bring back Corey Levin as a top reserve and as insurance, but Fortner had one of his best seasons in 2025, and outplayed Lloyd Cushenberry in most metrics. Not a big name, but a possible upgrade.

QB Tyrod Taylor

Taylor would be a solid veteran addition to the quarterback room behind Cam Ward. Yes, Tennessee still has Will Levis and will likely bring in another camp arm at some point, but Levis could be dealt, and Taylor is exactly what Robert Saleh identified: a veteran who can win a game in a pinch.

TE Chris Manhertz

Chig Okonkwo is an unrestricted free agent, and the Titans need another tight end; Manhertz could be what they are looking for. More of a blocker than receiver, he could be an asset that helps get the running game going, plus allows Gunnar Helm to become more of a receiving threat for the offense. Oh, and he most recently played for Brian Daboll with the New York Giants.
