In this year’s free agency class, there are a few options that could be of interest to the Jacksonville Jaguars with ties to defensive coordinator Anthony Campanile.
Prior to taking over as the Jaguars‘ defensive play-caller in 2025, Campanile was the Packers’ linebackers coach in 2024, and before that, he was the linebackers coach in Miami for several seasons.
While familiarity and overlap with a free agent won’t be the be-all-end-all when determining whether to sign a player, that element can play a role. There is something to be said for knowing exactly how that player will fit into your current defensive scheme and within the locker room.
Below are three players, in particular, that are connected to Campanile and could be on the Jaguars’ radar.
CB Kader Kohou
Kohou spent his first four NFL seasons in Miami, with two of those seasons overlapping with Anthony Campanile when he was the linebackers coach there.

Kohou missed the 2025 season with an ACL injury. In 2024, he allowed a completion rate of 65% but only 8.0 yards per catch with two interceptions and three pass breakups, according to PFF.
Depth and competition at cornerback is a need with Montaric Brown and Greg Newsome set to be free agents.
LB Quay Walker
During the 2024 NFL season, Campanile was Walker’s linebackers coach in Green Bay. That season was arguably Walker’s best in the NFL. He brings a well-rounded skill set to the linebacker position.
With Devin Lloyd potentially signing elsewhere, Walker could immediately step into that starting role next to Foye Oluokun.
DE Kingsley Enagbare
Another Packers’ defender who was with Campanile for the 2024 season. Enagbare would add experienced depth to the defensive end position for the Jaguars. As a rotational defensive end, he logged 25 pressures and three sacks last season, while also grading out well against the run by PFF’s metrics.
More competition and pass rush consistency behind Josh Hines-Allen and Travon Walker is needed this season.
