Los Angeles Rams cornerback Darious Williams announced his retirement from the NFL after eight seasons on Saturday. His career included two separate stints with the Rams, most recently in 2024-2025 after two years with the Jaguars.

He won Super Bowl LVI with Los Angeles, starting 13 games during the regular season and all four playoff games that year.

Williams, 32, welcomed his first child in January and will now enter the next chapter of his life after football.

He originally entered the NFL as an undrafted free agent with the Ravens in 2018 after four years at UAB. The Rams claimed him off waivers in October of 2018, playing just one game with Los Angeles before seeing an increased role in 2019. His best season with the Rams came in 2020 when he picked off a career-high four passes, a mark he later matched with the Jaguars in 2023.

The Rams signed him to a three-year, $22.5 million contract in free agency during the 2024 offseason, so he had one year left on that deal in 2026.
