The Miami Dolphins have a new general manager and new head coach running things in South Florida, which has led to several roster moves in recent weeks, intending to build a foundation for the future.

Next week, the Dolphins have over 30 players hitting the market who, at that point, can sign with a new team, including tight end Greg Dulcich.

Before the new league year starts, let’s analyze the decision that needs to be made on Dulcich.

Greg Dulcich 2025 season recap

Dulcich signed with the Dolphins’ practice squad in August after nearly three years with the Denver Broncos and part of a year with the New York Giants. He was eventually promoted to the active roster and appeared in 10 games, recording 26 receptions for 335 yards and one touchdown.

With Darren Waller and Julian Hill also hitting the market this offseason, the Dolphins only have Jalin Conyers, Cole Turner and Zack Kuntz under contract at the position for 2026.

Miami should look outside the organization, and some of the top free agents at the position this offseason include Travis Kelce, Cade Otton, Dallas Goedert, Chig Okonkwo, Zach Ertz, Jonnu Smith, Isaiah Likely and Davis Njoku.

What contract could Greg Dulcich receive in free agency?

Dulcich signed a one-year, $1.1 million deal with the Dolphins in 2025, but after catching more than five passes for the first time since his rookie season, he may be in line for more money. Spotrac, however, puts his market value at $1.14 million in 2026.

Should the Dolphins re-sign Greg Dulcich?

If the Dolphins can get Dulcich back for less than $2 million next year, they should absolutely consider it. However, if Waller is interested in returning, and Miami identifies a top free agent at the position that they’re really interested in, they should move on.
