The New York Jets have begun the process of bringing in 2026 NFL draft prospects for top-30 visits. Indiana running back Kaelon Black was the first name reported.
We officially have a second prospect slated to visit East Rutherford.
The Jets are bringing in Tennessee defensive lineman Tyre West for a top-30 visit, sources confirmed to Jets Wire.
West has endured an exciting pre-draft process. He was so good at the American Bowl that he received a late call-up to the Senior Bowl, the premier collegiate all-star game.
West was listed as being 6-foot-3 and 290 pounds by Tennessee. That’s not your prototypical size for an EDGE. West profiles as a “BIG END” or a down lineman in a 3-4 defensive front.

Head coach Aaron Glenn appreciates versatile defensive ends who defend the run through physicality and toughness. General manager Darren Mougey is revamping the defense this offseason.
West registered a career-high 23 tackles and four sacks throughout the 2025 season. He made seven tackles behind the line of scrimmage. The Jets appear to be focusing the early portion of their top-30 visits on late-round draft picks or even undrafted free agents. West will be in East Rutherford for his visit with the Jets later this month.
