Taylor Swift has taken the NFL world by storm in recent years following her relationship with Kansas City Chiefs star tight end Travis Kelce going public. She has brought a completely new fan base to the league and has had her face published everywhere throughout the NFL media cycle.

New York Giants legend Michael Strahan has spoken out about the topic with a take that will cause a split right down the middle with NFL fans.
During an appearance at Sports Business Journal’s 4SE conference, Strahan revealed that he believes the music superstar has been good for the league.
“Sports have leaked into pop culture — and it’s a win for everyone,” he said. “Taylor Swift is one of the best things to happen to the NFL.”
As shared by GiantsWire, Swift has had a profound business impact on the league since becoming so popular.
“Data shows that NFL viewership is up by nearly seven percent since Swift first burst onto the scene, while viewership among girls aged 12-17 has spiked by over 50 percent.”

Back in November, an anonymous player revealed his opinion on Swift’s impact on the NFL in a survey by The Athletic. That player was not a fan of how much she’s shown at games and think a better balance needs to be found.
“It’s bringing more attention to the game, but I feel like they’ve been using her face,” the player said. “If she’s at a game, they probably show her like six, seven times. People get … sick of it if they keep doing it over and over again. So I think they’ve got to find a balance.”
With Kelce making a return for the 2025 season, Swift is sure to be very public once again. Regardless of what NFL fans think, she will remain very present in the football media world. Strahan is now an outspoken fan of Swift’s impact on the league.
