The Carolina Panthers continue to strengthen their roster, signing veteran wide receiver Hunter Renfrow. The former Clemson and Las Vegas Raiders star, 29, joins the Panthers with 269 career catches for 2,884 yards and 17 touchdowns over five seasons. However, injuries have hampered his performance in recent years.
Renfrow will join a receiver lineup that includes newly drafted rookies Tet McMillan and Jimmy Horn Jr., alongside returning players Xavier Legette, Adam Thielen, and Jalen Coker.
In other sports news, former J.H. Rose standout Cornell Powell shone in the UFL, catching a touchdown for the D.C. Defenders in their 37-33 victory over Arlington. Powell led the team with four catches for 89 yards, helping the Defenders secure a 4-1 record and the top spot in the UFL standings.

His 30th career win places him eighth on the all-time list. Webb can clinch the title by finishing second or better in the upcoming races in Colorado and Utah.
In NASCAR, Austin Cindric claimed a thrilling photo-finish victory at Talladega, narrowly beating Ryan Preece for his second Cup Series win of the season. The 26-year-old driver will head to Texas Motor Speedway this weekend, as the race to the playoffs continues.
