The Bills reportedly hosted Oklahoma defensive lineman Gracen Halton on a visit ahead of the 2026 NFL draft, per his own social media.
Buffalo is looking at the 6-foot-3, 275-pound defensive lineman out of San Diego, California, who has been a disruptive presence along Oklahoma’s defensive front.
He was a consensus four-star recruit coming out of St. Augustine High School, where he logged 75 tackles, including 20 tackles for loss, and 5.5 sacks as a senior while also contributing offensively. ESPN ranked him 264th overall in their top 300 and 24th among defensive ends nationally.
At Oklahoma, Halton developed into one of the Big 12’s more impactful interior defensive linemen due to his combination of size, athleticism, and motor against opposing offensive lines. He also tested well at the combine, highlighted by a 4.59-second shuttle and a 33-inch vertical jump, showcasing his explosiveness.
His versatility to play multiple positions along the defensive line also adds to his value and fits the modus operandi of what Buffalo looks for. He can play inside on passing downs and at the point of attack as a base end, making him a scheme-versatile option for NFL teams, something the Bills are seeking.

Adding to the defensive line under Jim Leonhard’s new defensive scheme is one of the areas GM Brandon Beane is looking to address in the offseason. Halton’s ability to generate interior pressure and his upside as a pass rusher do make him a logical fit.
He is projected to be a first or second-round selection in the 2026 NFL draft.
