LARAMIE — The University of Wyoming football team Wednesday hosted its annual NFL Pro Day.
A total of 19 student-athletes participated in drills held in the High Altitude Performance Center and in the Indoor Practice Facility.

“We had some guys that did really well,” head coach Jay Sawvel said. “We appreciate the total number of guys that wanted to give this a shot and wanted to do it. We are going to be in a lot better spot than where we were last year. (Placekicker John) Hoyland was the only guy at a camp last year. This year, we’ll have more. That’s a big piece in trying to win games. You better have guys people are showing up to see.”
NFL combine attendee John Michael Gyllenborg was joined by teammates Caden Barnett, Jevon Davis, Evan Eller, Justin Erb, Ben Florentine, Michael Fitzgerald, Chisom Ifeanyi, Brayden Johnson, Dainsus Miller, Clay Nanke, Jaylen Sargent, Sam Scott, Aneesh Vyas, Evan Svoboda, Tyce Westland, Jack Walsh, Carson York and Max White.
A total of 20 NFL teams were in the building.
Wyoming quarterbacks Mason Drube and Gage Brook were in attendance to throw to pass catchers.
Though all final numbers weren’t readily available, Scott, who entered Wednesday down 12 pounds from his 2025 playing weight of 227, was one of the many standouts. The senior running back from Omaha, Neb., finished with a vertical of 40 inches and ran an unofficial 4.5-second 40-yard dash.
“He had a very good day,” Sawvel said. “And I think a lot of that had to do with the fact that he made that concerted effort to really lean out.”
Scott rushed for 408 yards and found the end zone on the ground twice last fall. He added 113 more on 11 catches and scored one touchdown.
“It felt awesome,” Scott said. “I just wanted to show my explosiveness.”
Svoboda, who came to Laramie in 2022 as a quarterback, made the full-time transition to the tight end spot last spring. He said he has heard from the Bengals, Saints and was on his way to lunch with scouts from the Washington Commanders.
The 6-foot-5, 251-pound Arizona native snagged 11 passes for 92 yards and a score last fall.
“I have a high ceiling,” Svoboda said, referring to what teams have liked about him this offseason. “They haven’t seen me execute a lot with the one year (at tight end), so they’re really, really looking forward to just my development and my growth.”
The NFL Draft takes place from April 23-25 in Pittsburgh. The current batch of Wyoming Cowboys now turn their focus to spring ball, which gets underway later this month.

University of Wyoming’s Top 50 Football Players
The rules are simple: What was the player’s impact while in Laramie? That means NFL stats, draft status or any other accolade earned outside of UW is irrelevant when it comes to this list.
This isn’t a one-man job. This task called for a panel of experts. Joining 7220’s Cody Tucker are Robert Gagliardi, Jared Newland, Ryan Thorburn, and Kevin McKinney.
We all compiled our own list of 50 and let computer averages do the work. Think BCS — only we hope this catalog is fairer.
