NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) – The New Orleans Saints officially announced five free agency additions on Wednesday as the new NFL league year began.
The moves formalized agreements that had previously been reported but could not become official until the league year opened Wednesday at 3 p.m.
Guard David Edwards: Reported contract: Four years, $61 million with $45 million guaranteed

The Saints also announced the re-signing of defensive tackle John Ridgeway III.

Several notable players have departed during the early stages of free agency. Linebacker Demario Davis, cornerback Alontae Taylor and center Luke Fortner.
New Orleans also traded punter Kai Kroeger to the Houston Texans in exchange for a 2028 pick swap.
More moves are expected as the next wave of free agency continues.
Two of the biggest remaining questions surrounding the Saints’ offseason involve defensive end Cameron Jordan and the “Swiss Army Knife” Taysom Hill.
