The Kansas City Chiefs‘ defensive line will once again be without a longtime member who has contributed to multiple Super Bowl appearances.
According to NFL Reporter Aaron Wilson, the Indianapolis Colts are signing former Chiefs defensive lineman Derrick Nnadi to a deal, according to his agency, Sports Trust.
The Chiefs valued Nnadi’s veteran experience so much that they reacquired him before the start of the season in a trade with the New York Jets.

“Yeah, I think just a good inside player, and you can’t really have enough of those guys. He (Derrick Nnadi) knows the system,” said Reid in a press conference shortly after reacquiring Nnadi before the start of the season, “So, getting back in there, I think, is a positive, and (General Manager) Brett (Veach) we’re always a little heavy on O-line and D-line. I mean, that’s normally just to make sure we’ve got those areas filled.”
Nnadi finished the 2025 season with 16 tackles and three quarterback pressures in 15 games played. He spent his first eight impactful seasons in Kansas City and helped the team win three Super Bowl titles.
